FORT COLLINS, CO, February 04, 2017 — Colorado HIA embarks on efforts to become official HIA state chapter. Behind this venture is a collaboration of farmers, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, artists, producers and community members, all hoping to lead the way in state and federal hemp standards and legislation.
This initiative started off with a series of state wide informational sessions, inviting the public to learn more about Colorado’s rapidly growing hemp industry, as well to take part in the Chapter’s formation. HIACO offers a productive outlet for individuals of any background to make social, legislative, and environmental change.
Fueling HIACO is the potential behind the plant. Serving as an extremely sustainable and versatile crop, hemp can produce an array of commodities including food, cosmetics, construction materials and pharmaceuticals. Colorado residents have already taken advantage of this opportunity with 312 active registrants growing on 8988 acres.
HIACO wraps up its final informational meetings February 4th in Grand Junction and February 9th in the Denver area. To learn more about HIACO and their upcoming events, visit https://www.facebook.com/ColoradoHIA/.
