Marcus Grignon is a member of the Menominee Indian Tribe in Wisconsin. He holds a Double Associate’s Degree in Tribal Law and Sustainable Development from the College of Menominee Nation and a Bachelor’s Degree in Democracy and Environmental Justice Studies with a minor in First Nations Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He has worked for the United States Congress and the Small Business Administration in Washington, D.C. He’s currently Campaign Manager of HEMPstead Project Heart’s Wisconsin campaign to re-legalize Industrial Hemp cultivation in the state. In the summer of 2015, Marcus was the agricultural researcher for the College of Menominee Nation’s hemp field located on the Menominee Reservation. This hemp field was seized by DEA agents in the fall of 2015.
