Marc Ross has spent the last 25 years changing the world.  An environmental attorney with experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors, Marc is a firm believer that the capitalist system can and should act responsibly and be used for good.  For the past 15 years, he has served as the founder, Executive Director and main visionary for Rock the Earth, a national environmental advocacy nonprofit that works to protect some of the world’s most threatened places through partnerships with the music industry.  Most recently, Marc has opened his own consulting firm, Needle Consultants, LLC, to help businesses better engage in and adopt authentic, measurable, and impactful Corporate Social Responsibility practices.

Marc is certified by the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado in Corporate Social Responsibility as well as in Sustainability Leadership and Implementation by the Daniels School of Business at the University of Denver.  He holds a JD from The Dickinson School of Law and a BA from The Pennsylvania State University.

A frequent speaker and panelist on the intersection of music, sustainability and activism, Marc has curated and/or led discussions and panels at the South By Southwest Music Conference, the National Conference for Media Reform, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, Summer Camp Music Festival, the Echo Project Festival, Arise Music Festival, Jam Cruise, and other events.
